The tale begun in the Fenaday/Rainhell Chronicle adds new volumes as Shasti Rainhell, genetically engineered assassin, continues the saga.
Shasti Rainhell now commands her former lover’s Fenaday’s privateer Sidhe when she is recruited by Confederate Spymaster, Mandela to take his team of scientists and soldiers into unknown space. The war with the Conchirri is over, but a new threat has appeared from further in toward the galactic core in the form a ship called an Evolver which attacked a Confederate world.
Shasti meets old friends and old enemies in Mandela’s train. The handsome linguist, Paulo Romita, draws her interest, while her old adversary, Kyle Mmok, now completely in a robot body, mirrors some of her own struggles about what it means to be human. But a totally unexpected addition throws the expedition into chaos when Mikhail Vaughn, master assassin from Olympia appears on the scene.

I really didn't know what to expect with the new direction this series was headed...a book without Robert Feneday as the main character? But, I was surprised and found this book one of the very best I have yet to read. I always like action, but I also enjoy character development and interaction. The author does such a great job of balancing the two...too many authors are all about the action. But this way, we get to grow along side the characters as they go through their trials and triumphs. I enjoyed the new characters and am so very much looking forward to the next installment of this series!Product details

Hidden Stars eBook Edward McKeown Reviews
A superhero woman, space opera, aliens, space warfare-a rollicking good time. I look forward to the next book and will enjoy reading the next chapter in the series
The last of the Shasti Rainhell adventures. If only there were more. Great action, plot, characters in a beautifully written story which elevates the genre. Great work Mr McKeown!
Awesome continuation of the Sidhe's story. I love Shasti, a complex character. She's a great superhero and leader, especially since she doesn't want ot be one. You've gotta read the first three books to really appreciate this one. There are a lot of references to past events and the connections between characters. I can't wait for the next one.
If you haven't read the robert fenaday and shasti trilogy you should, this book takes place after the events there. Plus all those books are a great read so you should read them anyway.
This was a good continuation of the story and universe from the first trilogy with an emphasis on Shasti and her development. The story is well paced, characters are well developed, and all in all this was a lot of fun to read. I'm looking forward to the next one in this series!
What an amazing story. Makes you love the main character. I recommend it highly.
The story kept you interested. It had a struggle against evil and striving to become better a better person. Strange worlds and challanges to overcome.
EMK has written a SyFy novel of a lengthy series that spans the galaxies. A starship captain looking for his wife. His tag along assassin who has been equipped with weapons from robotics. Throw in s side battle with a new race and everything is busy. But the motto is "Protect the innocent". This is an excellent novel for the genre.....ER
